Two things that have fascinated me most of my life are the camera’s ability to freeze a moment in time and preserve it just as it was for generations to see and wild animals. I really did not appreciate how magnificent wild animals are until I started getting close enough to photograph them. There is something beautiful and tranquil about every animal from the smallest chipmunk to the North American bears to the African lions and elephants when they are observed enjoying their native environment. All of the animals pictured here and on my website were photographed in their natural environment.

Dave is currently teaching photography at the Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden in Belmont, NC, and is available for special assignments, presentations to clubs and organizations and private photography tutoring. Dave is also an Adobe Certified Expert for Adobe Photoshop Lightroom and is available for instruction in both Adobe Photoshop Elements and Adobe Photoshop Lightroom.
