Open To: Members and Non-Members of Mint Hill Arts.
Intake: Friday, December 6: 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Saturday, December 7: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Pick-up for the November show is at the same times.
Opening Reception: Friday, December 13 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Awards will be announced at 8:00 p.m.
Prizes and Categories: Best in Show: $300 cash
First Place: $100
Second Place: $75
Third Place: $50
We will also award at least 8 Honobrable Mention prizes valued at $25.00 each. Honorable Mention awards can be made in any category and
increase your chances of winning a prize.

5. Multimedia (includes all 2-D artwork that combines any materials and/or techniques, including drawing, graphics,
alcohol inks; basically, any medium that does not fit into the other categories).
Judge: > Our judge is Eldred P. Hudson, Head of the Art Department at UNCC.
> No Mint Hill Arts members are present during the judging process.
Only the titles and media are provided to the judges. The artists' names are covered.
Judging will take place on Monday, December 9. The gallery will be closed and off limits.
Winners will be contacted via e-mail before the Opening Reception but will not be told what prize(s) they have received.
Rules: > Each artist may enter up to 2 pieces per category.
> Each artist is limited to 2 categories.
> ALL entries must be original works of art. No student artwork that an instructor has touched will be accepted.
No copies, giclees or prints are allowed, except for photos, lithographs, serigraphs, etchings, etc.
> Mint Hill Arts reserves the right to turn down any artwork that is not properly
framed or is deemed as inappropriate, unsafe for public display or too difficult to install.
> All artists must fill out our Gallery Registration Form.
> Each piece must have an intake label attached to the back or underside.
> All 2-D artwork must be properly framed with wire installed and ready for hanging (no clips, saw-tooth hangers, staples or tape).
Fees: > For Mint Hill Arts members: $20 per artist per category.
> For Non-Members: $40 per artist per category.
Commissions: Mint Hill Arts requires a commission on all work sold through our gallery.
> Active (volunteering) members pay 15%
> General members pay 20%
> Non-members pay 40%
All sold work can be picked up by the buyer at the end of each monthly show. All checks should be made payable to Mint Hill Arts.
Sizes: Please pay attention to your sizes. We have limited wall and floor space, so no exceptions can be made for oversized artwork.
> 2-D work cannot exceed 48" x 60" vertically or horizontally. (This does NOT mean 20 sq. ft. achieved by multiplying dimensions. A 2' tall by 10' wide painting will
not be accepted.)
> 3-D work cannot exceed a 36" footprint x7' in height. It must fit through the door.
Pick-up for this show will be during January Intake (1/3 and 1/4).
Please note that all artwork must be picked up. We do not have storage space for work not picked up.
