January 2008 Monthly Meeting
Carmella Jarvi gave a “Marketing your artwork” presentation for the Mint Hill Arts group on Tuesday January 29.
Specifically, she gave us a presentation on the business side of art, how to market and make money with your art; sharing ideas that work. The second half, she lead a discussion/brainstorming session about how to make audience members’ ideas & projects come to life in 2008.
Carmella Jarvi is an award-winning artist from Charlotte, who’s received two Regional Artist Project Grants from the A&SC and was just awarded the NC Arts Council Residency Award to attend Vermont Studio Center in June 2008. She teaches business of art seminars and will teach two pastel classes at Queens University Center for Lifelong Learning, starting in Feb. Her paintings can be seen locally at b.brown gallery in Matthews, NC.
