"Queen City Inspirations" Exhibit at Mint Hill Arts

When: Show runs September 10 through September 30, 2010

Where: Mint Hill Arts

Intake: Intake is Friday September 3 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday September 4 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. All artists, members and non-members are invited to enter up to four pieces.

Entry Fees per Artist: $10.00 total for members; $15.00 total for non-members. This show is a non-competitive show; no prizes will be awarded.

Open House Plein Air Painting Day

When: August 28, 2010 Sunrise to Sunset

Where: 2119 High Ridge Church Road, Marshville, NC 28103

Details: Bring friends! Spend the morning painting and enjoy the peaceful 39 acre setting. Lunch from 12-2pm, available for $5.00 donation to High Ridge Endowment Fund, or bring your own. Spend the afternoon painting, and enjoy and evening of wine and cheese, art conversation and camaraderie. Bring your own beverage and a snack to share. Overnight stay at guest house available on a limited basis; email for details.

South Carolina Watermedia Society announces its 33rd Annual Exhibition and Call to Artists

When: October 2, 2010.

Where: Rock Hill, SC.

Deadline for Entry: July 31, 2010.

Workshop: Juror Barbara Nechis will conduct a transparent watercolor workshop in Rock Hill on September 20-23.

St. Luke Fall Festival 2010

When: Saturday, October 16, 2010, 10:00 am until (ending time TBD).

What: St. Luke Fall Festival is looking for artists to be vendors. 10x10 outdoor spaces (nothing is provided) are available for $45 before September 1, and $50 after September 1. Tables and chairs can be rented for an amount to be determined. Set up is at 8:00 am.

Carolina’s Got Art! announces its 2010 Juried Exhibition

When: Friday, October 1 through Saturday, October 30 2010.

What: Original paintings of any media, drawings, monoprints or other one-of-a-kind prints, photography, free-standing sculpture, hand-turned wood or pottery/porcelain all completed within the past two years are eligible.

Deadline for Entry: August 15, 2010.
