Mint Hill Arts' July 2009 exhibit is titled "Canvas and Clay," featuring oil and pastel paintings by DauthVirginia L. Dauth and pottery by members of Mint Hill Arts as well as the Carolina Clay Matters Guild.

Virginia creates her landscapes from the classical style to the modern, and sometimes a combination of both. She defines her style as expressive colorism, with the use of bold stroke and the pushing of intense color.

Member Art Exhibit at Presbyterian Hospital in Matthews

Opening Reception, Tuesday, July 14, 2009, from 6 pm to 8 pm

Exhibit run from June 27th through July 25th

Mint Hill Arts has accepted an invitation to an Art Exhibit at the Presbyterian Hospital in Matthews. The display will be featured in the hospital's spacious lobby.

Please invite friends and family to help us celebrate this special exhibit. With artist persmission, work from our June Reception may be transferred to the hospital for the exhibiting dates. The hospital will have thousands of visitors during the exhibiting times so this is a great opportunity for Mint Hill Arts members to exhibit their talents.

Some volunteers will be needed to help set up panels, transfer the art and, at the end of the show, remove the art and panels.
